The Tech Solutions Engineer Intern role at Oracle offers graduates a 12-month opportunity to gain practical experience in providing technical solutions and supporting sales teams. Based in Woodmead, Johannesburg, this internship focuses on assisting the wider Tech Solutions Engineering (TSE) team by acting as a knowledge support structure for Oracle’s products and services. Interns will contribute to opportunity generation, reporting, customer engagement, and project implementation, while also acquiring mandatory Oracle certifications. This program is designed to build technical, analytical, and business acumen skills, preparing graduates for future careers in technology consulting, presales engineering, or solution development.

Responsibilities

• Identify value opportunities to generate leads and support account strategies through customer research
• Assist the On-Prem Presales Team by driving action items and supporting team meetings
• Support business operations through reporting activities and prepare weekly team action reports
• Track opportunities by taking minutes during meetings and collaborating with customers and team members
• Assist managers in maintaining team cadence and hygiene
• Arrange and attend customer meetings alongside account managers, facilitating collaboration with partners
• Populate dashboards for forecasts and updates, and organize meetings with partners and customers
• Acquire mandatory Oracle certifications and apply knowledge practically in daily work
• Implement a new or maintain an existing APEX project

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: BCom IT, BSc IT, or BSc Informatics
• Desirable qualification: BSc IT (Hons)
• Ability to grasp and learn concepts easily
• Excellent numerical reasoning skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Technically inclined with a strong desire to learn
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to develop business acumen
• Proficiency in Excel is advantageous
• Professional demeanor with good administrative skills
