A customer-facing sales role at Birkenstock Gateway, responsible for delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory and store operations, participating in training, and upholding company values focused on wellbeing, positive attitude, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales
• Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds.
• Deliver excellent customer service following Birkenstock procedures.
• Establish customer needs and use technical knowledge to demonstrate benefits.
• Close the sale and secure add-on sales.
• Invite customers back to turn them into Birkenstock fans.
• Monitor daily sales against the individual budget every few hours.
• Inventory
• Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom daily.
• Minimize shrinkage by zoning the store, acknowledging customers, and following the changing room policy.
• Ensure stock entries in POS systems are accurate.
• Process deliveries (check quantities, invoices, tagging, hanging, pricing).
• Process customer orders.
• Daily Operations
• Maintain store housekeeping (dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing counters, tidying change rooms).
• Assist the manager with opening and closing the store.
• Training
• Take responsibility for one's own training.
• Learn from an allocated buddy.
• Attend quarterly training sessions and complete assessments.
• Receive monthly feedback from the manager.
• Set up monthly meetings with the store manager to discuss progress through the Birkenstock rookie pack.
• Merchandising
• Maintain stock presentation according to Birkenstock standards.
• Replenish sizes.
• Assist the team in changing windows/mannequins fortnightly.
• Ensure POS materials are stored safely.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 or Equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Advantageous: Birkenstock knowledge.
• Availability: Able to work flexible shifts.
