Description

A permanent, full-time general worker position within the Consumer division at the Safripol KZN Main Warehouse. The role involves assisting truck drivers with loading and unloading, maintaining the cleanliness of the premises, ensuring walkways are clear, and performing ad hoc duties as required. The position requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist a truck driver with loading and/or offloading.
• Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris.
• Notify building management of any repairs required.
• Cleaning of the entire premises.
• Maintaining the environment.
• Ad-hoc duties that might be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Minimum).
• Medical & Physical: Medically fit; ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively; ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
• Safety & Compliance: Work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety requirements; have a clean criminal record.
• Transport: Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
• Able to carry out all reasonable instructions from the supervisor.
• Reliable and prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
