Description

The Human Resources Intern will play a dual, high-impact role within the HR Department, working directly under the guidance of the HR Recruiter. The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support in executing the company’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance strategy, while simultaneously assisting the talent acquisition function with end-to-end recruitment support when required to do so. This position offers an exceptional, accelerated learning framework by bridging strategic compliance initiatives with operational talent acquisition, establishing a robust foundation for a progressive career in corporate HR.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and post approved job advertisements across relevant platforms.
  • Conduct initial CV screening and filter applications against specific Job Specifications to generate high-quality candidate shortlists.
  • Coordinate, schedule and confirm interview panels between shortlisted candidates, Hiring Managers and the HR team.
  • Maintain, update and optimize candidate databases, internal recruitment trackers and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Initiate and follow up on candidate background verifications, including qualifications, credit, criminal checks, and professional reference tracking.
  • Support candidate care and employer branding initiatives, ensuring a professional, communicative, and positive candidate journey.

Qualifications

  • Completed a Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field.
  • 0 - 1 years worth of Human Resource related administration and services
  • Corporate and/or office environment experience would be advantageous
