The Applications Sales Intern role at Oracle offers graduates a 12-month opportunity to gain practical exposure to demand generation, business development, and sales support activities. Based in Woodmead, Johannesburg, this internship focuses on supporting the Applications Sales Team in expanding Oracle’s presence in the region, driving business growth, and enhancing brand visibility. Interns will assist with identifying new business opportunities, supporting ERP, CRM, and HCM solution awareness, and collaborating across business functions to ensure seamless sales processes. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience in SaaS sales, preparing graduates for future careers in business development, sales, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in identifying potential customers and new business opportunities through research and outreach
  • Support demand generation efforts by creating awareness of Oracle’s ERP, CRM, and HCM solutions
  • Participate in business development activities to grow Oracle’s application sales pipeline
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Applications Sales Team
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for internal and external meetings
  • Collaborate with team members across different business functions to ensure seamless sales processes
  • Stay informed about technology trends and Oracle solutions to effectively support sales initiatives
  • Engage with clients and internal teams to help drive deals forward

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Information Systems, ICT, HR, Financial Systems, Accounting, BCom, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of ERP, CRM, or HCM solutions and their applications in a business setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a sales team and across business functions
  • Foundational negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Comfortable with creating and delivering presentations
  • Proficient in office software and familiar with technology trends and digital transformation
  • Motivated, driven, and capable of working independently to achieve goals
  • Ability to engage and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Quick learner, adaptable to fast-paced and evolving environments
