The Eskom Learner Technician internship offers graduates and diploma holders in Electrical or Civil Engineering the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in maintaining, installing, commissioning, and repairing engineering equipment. Interns will work under supervision in various engineering departments, apply technical knowledge in real-world operations, adhere to safety, health, environment, quality, and security (SHEQS) standards, and develop professional skills in a structured utility environment while contributing to the reliable delivery of electricity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and commission electrical or civil engineering equipment
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment as required
• Adhere to safety, health, environment, quality, and security (SHEQS) standards
• Support engineering teams in day-to-day technical operations and projects
• Develop practical skills and apply academic knowledge in real-world engineering tasks

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
• B
• Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (required)
• Computer literacy and basic administrative skills
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn in a structured engineering environment
