Description

This structured work-based learning programme combines theoretical training, practical application, and workplace experience in the field of cybersecurity. The purpose is to develop competent cybersecurity practitioners equipped with the technical, analytical, and behavioural skills required to safeguard digital systems and data in accordance with national occupational standards.

Responsibilities

• Guided by our values of Trust, Discipline, and Execution, the Cybersecurity Intern is expected to build confidence through responsible handling of sensitive data, maintain strict compliance with information security policies, and execute assigned cybersecurity tasks with precision and efficiency

Qualifications

• A relevant IT, Computer Science, or Engineering degree, OR a BSc/BCom degree with a strong focus on Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• South African citizen between the ages of 21 and 28 (as per learnership eligibility criteria)
• No prior participation in a similar QCTO-accredited learnership at the same NQF level (NQF 5)
• Basic understanding of information systems, networks, and/or cybersecurity fundamentals
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to commit to the full 12-month learnership period
