Description

Impact's analytics engineering team is looking for an Associate Analytics Engineer who's ready to get hands-on with dbt, BigQuery, and the craft of building trusted data models. This is an entry-level role where you'll build foundational skills in SQL, dbt, and data modelling while delivering well-scoped models under guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance from senior engineers, write tested, documented code that meets the team's quality standards
• Build and maintain dbt models that transform raw data into analytics-ready structures in BigQuery, following established patterns and standards
• Develop working knowledge of dimensional modelling, data granularity, and schema design principles
• Contribute to test coverage by building schema tests, relationship tests, and custom logic tests for your models
• Document models with clear business definitions, lineage descriptions, and dependency mapping

Qualifications

• Solid SQL skills, comfortable writing queries involving joins, aggregations, window functions, and CTEs
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field is a plus
