The candidate should be able to conduct impact analysis when introducing software changes, understand the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), use Test Management and Automation tools, and support end-to-end processes. They should also be proficient in test case design, creating effective test cases and scenarios, and executing test cases, documenting results, and generating test reports. They should also be able to set up and configure test environments. The minimum knowledge required includes version control systems, best practices, defect tracking systems, test data generation and management, CI/CD practices, performance testing tools, test management tools, and security testing concepts.
