The automation test analyst is the primary contact for automation work within a functional team, working closely with the lead functional test analyst to select the most appropriate automation scope and develop automation scripts. They work closely with Test Managers, Test Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, Automation Resources, and business stakeholders. This role involves planning, prioritizing, developing, and executing automation activities.
Areas of responsibility include analyzing automation requirements from the testing team or technical teams, selecting the best automation point for testing, obtaining approval for the automation scope and approach, creating and maintaining automated test scripts, developing required scripts, running test scripts, planning and executing automation scripts, scheduling unassisted automation runs, and providing execution reports to testing teams.
