The role involves creating robust batch and streaming data processing capabilities, designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines for JUMO's data platform, providing feedback on team members' output, and working closely with Portfolio Managers and Decision Scientists to understand real-world problems. The ideal candidate should have a BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent tertiary degree, real-world experience in data pipeline design and development, streaming technologies, cloud technologies, big-data technologies, command of productionizing and monitoring data pipeline workflows, application design and development with Python, Scala, Java, RDBMS experience in relevant technologies, understanding of CI/CD practices, and production within a Linux command line environment.
Experience with messaging systems, data pipeline orchestration, and production BI environments and tools is also preferred.
