A leading financial institution is seeking experienced Test Automation Leads for a 12-month contract, renewable yearly, with a 2-3 day onsite per week in Sandton. The role involves leading test implementation in accordance with Quality Assurance principles and standards, managing product risk and inter-dependencies, ensuring alignment across business analysis, development, quality assurance, and environment to optimize testing efficiencies. The role also involves fostering team effectiveness and healthy team dynamics.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of testing strategies, managing product risk and inter-dependencies, ensuring alignment and collaboration between teams, using automation frameworks and predefined test tools, ensuring overall solution quality through comprehensive testing, and maintaining knowledge of Front End and API automation, as well as Performance Testing (NFT). Tools to be used include Selenium, Appium, Healenium, RestAssured, and JMeter.
Requirements include a remarkable leadership background, relevant qualifications and certifications, at least 5 years of experience in Agile Development, proficiency in Agile concepts and methodologies, at least 5 years of experience in applying automation standards and procedures, data quality assurance and data science, advanced knowledge of Java Development with J2EE and/or Springboot, strong understanding of Object Orientation principles, extensive experience in testing principles and processes, proficiency in automation tools, strong knowledge of Front End and API automation, and solid understanding of Agile Development principles and practices.
