The company is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join their Engineering team. The candidate will contribute to technical decision making, planning, and development of features for the business banking product. The focus will be on React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android, as well as working with the business banking backend. The candidate will work in an agile team, contribute to feature development, and participate in code reviewing sessions.
Responsibilities include extending and maintaining existing and new software systems, planning, estimating, and continuously improving code quality, system design, and processes. They will also work with the business to understand and implement requirements, mentor junior team members, participate in technology research, participate in technical architecture/problem resolution sessions, and work in an agile environment.
Competencies required include full stack development exposure, ability to mentor junior team members, efficiency and optimization driven, autonomy, analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, good communication skills, knowledge sharing, and interest in technology. The required skills include a relevant tertiary level qualification, honors or Master's degree, 4+ years mobile development experience, solid experience in test-driven development, exposure to front-end technologies, cloud-based environments, database design and Agile development, source control, RestFul APIs, secure coding practices, and knowledge of delivering applications to Google Play or the AppStore.
