The Specialist QA Engineer is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes across the Digital People Experience (DPX). They must have in-depth knowledge and experience in manual and automated testing. The role involves active participation in the solution development lifecycle, daily Scrum and project planning meetings, and analyzing business requirements during the requirements analysis phase of technical product and service development, maintenance, and optimization. They develop manual test plans and execute automated test scripts using various technologies.
The QA Engineer works with software developers and CoEs to evaluate software and solution quality and provide recommendations for improvement. They are responsible for end-to-end functional and regression testing on workday, service now, and ER Navigator. They ensure all deliverables are aligned with the risk-based test approach and communicate product risks to the product owner, QA lead/Manager, RTA, and Project Manager.
The QA Engineer must follow engineering best practices and continuously improve their knowledge to shift their QA capability forward. They must understand the full technical solution being tested and show interest and capability to run the technical solution. They must ensure compliance with technical risk and governance requirements, participate in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management processes, and implement mitigating actions.
The QA Engineer must have an IT Degree/Diploma, Practical Software Testing, and an ISTQB Foundation.
