This role involves sourcing and transforming data across the business into formats for differentiating business insights. The role also involves specifying complex business rules using specific toolsets to enable data modelers to create complex analytical models. The primary purpose of the BI Analyst role is to design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions and identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics needs.
Stakeholders include CRM, product owners, data warehouse technical production teams, internal clients, bank clients, regulators, service providers, internal development teams, and data management project teams. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements from internal and external stakeholders, designing and developing new BankservAfrica Cognition analytics products and services, maintaining analytics dashboards and solutions, documenting requirements, conducting extensive testing, ensuring new projects are on track, consistently communicating progress to customers, and providing insights and training on analytics solutions.
Qualifications and knowledge required include a degree or diploma in computer science, informatics, MS Office experience, banking, payment, and card knowledge, NPrinting experience, and 6-8 years of experience in related fields. Experience in BI design and development on large data sets, QlikView / Qlik Sense experience, and business analysis experience in the payments/banking industry is also required.
