Impact.com is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the growth and development of their data analytics competency. The role involves developing and maintaining data workflows to move, transform, aggregate, and enrich data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse and data marts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data engineering, a solid understanding of data analytics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to deliver impactful solutions.
The role involves developing and maintaining scalable data models that meet business requirements, ensuring best practices in schema design, writing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries to support data transformation and analysis, and continuously improving dbt projects. The candidate will also support the establishment and enforcement of data quality standards and governance policies, monitor data pipelines for accuracy and completeness, and assist in implementing validation procedures to resolve data issues.
Proven experience in developing data marts, strong understanding of relational database management systems, data modelling, and schema design, proficiency in SQL development and Python programming, excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, 3+ years of experience in data pipeline development and data warehousing, knowledge of data integration patterns, data load patterns, and software development best practices, familiarity with version control tools, exposure to our tech stack (Databricks, dbt, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery), experience with workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, Oozie), a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with internal stakeholders.
