The company is seeking a Data Storyteller to identify trends and develop solutions to current business problems by extracting, analyzing, and interpreting relevant data. The role involves working with the Data & Build and Analytics team to optimize and deliver models for the Customer and Adviser Service Centre. The SME in predictive and prescriptive analytics will provide expertise on model builds, leveraging experience and working knowledge in modelling, visualization, and automation. Key responsibilities include providing support to business related to testing new model initiatives, providing regular management information to the division leadership, developing analytics solutions to current business problems that make commercial sense, analyzing and measuring the actual experience of implemented solutions against expected outcomes, and conducting ad-hoc business intelligence investigations. Additional responsibilities include proactively identifying areas for improvement, engaging with stakeholders across different levels of the organization, and being accountable for the improvement of quality, service, and work outputs. The minimum experience required is 5-8 years in a Data Science/Data Analytics role within Analytics, MI & Reporting or similar environment, working with large data sets, data visualization experience, experience working with unstructured data, and proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, R, VBA. Life insurance experience and knowledge are preferred. Minimum qualifications include Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics/Computer Sciences and/or relevant Data Science qualifications, with relevant post-graduate qualifications being an advantage.
