JD Group is seeking an Automation Tester to conduct efficient automated testing of new and customized software applications, including change requests and strategic projects. The Automation Tester is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the software's functionality, performance, and reliability. They work closely with development and quality assurance teams to identify and automate test cases, improve test coverage, and enhance the overall quality of the software.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with development and QA teams to understand project requirements, developing and maintaining automation test scripts for web and mobile applications using testing frameworks and tools like Selenium and Appium, executing automated test cases, creating and maintaining test data and environments, identifying opportunities for improvement, performing regression testing, participating in test case reviews, generating test documentation, and staying updated with industry trends.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, proven experience as an Automation Test Analyst, strong programming skills, proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, knowledge of web and mobile application testing methodologies and best practices, experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with agile development methodologies, excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
