The job opportunity is for a Water and Sanitation Technical Services Engineer in Engineering and Asset Management. The salary is R961,945 per annum, with various and future opportunities. Requirements include an Electrical Trade Test (ESETA/LGSETA), a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in MV voltage maintenance, and a Switching Authority on MV systems. Knowledge and understanding of MV Electrical Engineering networks, apparatus, drawings, and MV SLD's is required. Special conditions include working in all weather conditions, outside normal working hours during emergencies and overtime, participating in the Essential Users Vehicle Scheme, being physically fit, able-bodied, and not color blind. The incumbent must have a valid code B/EB driver's license. Key performance areas include coordinating tasks related to the implementation of procedures, reviewing MV Switching programs, functioning as a Control Officer for MV Networks, planning, prioritizing, and scheduling project and maintenance work, preparing resource allocation schedules, controlling personnel performance, monitoring progress, operating advanced Medium Voltage Equipment, performing contract management tasks, and maintaining records and information related to the activities of the MV section.
