Oracle Compute Cloud @Customer is a strategic product in Oracle's Engineered System portfolio, designed to enable hybrid cloud solutions. The team works with PCA and OCI engineering leaders to develop scalable, operationally focused, highly available, and high-performance distributed systems. The job involves automating common tasks, driving performant solutions, providing technical guidance, and raising the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles, experience developing distributed, fault-tolerant applications, familiarity with various technologies, strong team player skills, comfort with complex software development environments, ability to learn new technologies quickly, and experience using distributed source code management systems like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
Responsibilities include assisting in defining and developing software for tasks related to software applications or operating systems, providing technical leadership to other developers, and specifying, designing, and implementing modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Experience in startups or fast-paced enterprise technology development environments is also required.
