The key purpose of the role is to ensure the quality of all software releases by conducting various forms of testing to identify defects and ensure software performance according to requirements. Areas of responsibility include detailed test analysis and preparation, creating test plan/test approach documentation, determining test implementation stages, creating manipulation queries, executing planned and exploratory tests, producing, maintaining, and communicating test deliverables, managing defect management processes, providing day-to-day support and guidance, coordinating scoping and coverage discussions between Systems Test and UAT, and reporting to the Systems Test Manager.
