The role involves planning and executing testing activities for the team to support the successful delivery of project initiatives. This includes establishing a functional testing approach for feature and regression testing, monitoring scope and requirements changes, providing accurate estimates, driving automation, and reporting on test progress. The individual is accountable for the execution and delivery of the defect management process and reporting. They drive integration, system, and regression testing plans and facilitate reporting and signoff.
The role also involves defining and implementing testing automation strategies, designing test plans for existing and new functionality, executing complex test cases, participating in agile estimation, identifying quality patterns, and using automated test scripts for regression and functional tests. The individual is recognized as an expert in product functionality and coordinates their own work with others.
The role also involves working with the QA Analyst team and automating processes as needed. The individual is responsible for managing, mentoring, and building a great QA Automation team, providing real-time coaching and feedback, completing performance management activities on time, supporting employee development, hiring and retaining high-performers, managing change initiatives, and role modeling behaviors that support and drive the Flash culture and values.
