Description

The Legal Services: Contract & Litigation role involves managing the organization’s legal affairs related to contracts and litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal advice, and overseeing litigation processes. This role requires excellent knowledge of contract law and litigation practices, as well as strong analytical and research skills to ensure the organization’s interests are protected in all legal matters. The candidate will also be tasked with handling court cases, legal disputes, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple legal issues while providing sound legal guidance to various internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the organization’s legal and financial interests
  • Provide legal advice on contract-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage and oversee the organization’s litigation processes, including preparing legal documents, pleadings, and briefs
  • Represent the organization in court cases and legal disputes as required
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that contractual obligations are understood and met
  • Provide guidance on dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration processes when necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends, case law, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Paralegal qualification
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, civil procedure, and litigation processes
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
  • Familiarity with legal research and case law analysis
  • Excellent understanding of legal documentation, court processes, and dispute resolution
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work within strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and thorough understanding of legal principles and regulations
