Description

The Database Administrator will manage SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. This role requires expertise in SQL Server technologies, database optimization, and cloud integration, with a focus on supporting the company’s operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances
• Monitor health and performance of databases, resolving issues for uptime and efficiency
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Implement database security measures
• Optimize database performance through performance tuning and query adjustments
• Develop backup and recovery plans, and execute them
• Collaborate with teams to provide database solutions
• Manage SQL Server databases in AWS cloud environments (preferred)
• Serve as the point of contact for database-related issues during business hours and on a rotational after-hours basis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in SQL Server
• Knowledge of SQL Server versions (2014-2019), T-SQL, performance tuning, and optimization
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services is advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
