Boiler Making - SAFCOL Apprenticeship

Description

As a Boilermaker apprentice, you will receive training in the fabrication, assembly, and repair of boilers, tanks, and other large containers. This apprenticeship will prepare you to work in industrial settings by combining formal education with practical work experience at Timbadola sawmill.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to fabricate, assemble, and repair boilers and other large metal structures
  • Use welding, cutting, and shaping tools effectively
  • Follow safety protocols and work to precise specifications
  • Complete theoretical and practical training
  • Pass the final Trade Test to become a certified Boilermaker

Qualifications

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be aged between 18 and 35
  • Grade 12 is recommended (not mandatory)
  • Minimum N2 or Level 3 TVET certificate in Boiler Making trade theory
