Description

The Cloud Technical Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for designing and potentially implementing cloud-based solutions that meet clients' business and technical requirements. This role supports sales teams by providing expertise in cloud computing technologies and architectures, ensuring the effective design, deployment, and operation of our cloud-based systems to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
• Design and architect cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability
• Assess existing systems and develop migration strategies to transition on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud
• Define and enforce security best practices and compliance standards for cloud-based systems
• Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to development teams to ensure adherence to cloud architecture standards and best practices
• Manage client proof of concept (POC) initiatives and own the proposed solution through implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or information systems or a related field
• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
• Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (egTOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT)
• Experience with major cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
