OVK is offering a learnership program for South African students interested in IT Development, providing a unique opportunity to become future programmers. The program allows learners to enhance their skills through theoretical assessments and practical working sessions. Participants will be required to write and maintain IT programs, provide IT-related services to management, and handle administrative duties. Upon successful completion, learners will gain valuable knowledge to support their future careers as full-fledged programmers.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain IT programs to ensure effective functionality and performance
• Provide IT-related services and support to management as needed
• Handle administrative duties related to IT projects and tasks
• Participate in theoretical assessments and practical working sessions to enhance programming skills
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information throughout the learnership
• Adapt to working under pressure and meet deadlines as required
• Engage in problem-solving activities to troubleshoot issues effectively
• Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills in all interactions

Qualifications

• Must possess a tertiary qualification in IT or software development
• Or currently in their final phase of pursuing a tertiary qualification in IT or software development
• Or currently in Grade 12 with at least 3 years of practical experience in the IT department
• Strong communication abilities
• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English
• Strong understanding of computer literacy
• Good organizational and numerical skills
• Prepared to work under pressure
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Impressive interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Strong analytical skills
• Problem-solving abilities
