The IT Specialist, Test Analyst is responsible for comprehensive testing of DSV’s Mounties in-house applications. This role ensures software quality through thorough testing within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, encompassing various testing types such as functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications Conduct peer reviews of test documentation Perform various test types, including white box, black box, functional, data, integration, and regression Execute data seeding for end-to-end testing Collaborate with internal and external customers for end-to-end integration testing Participate in UAT with relevant stakeholders as needed Log, retest, and resolve defects using JIRA/XRay software Report testing progress in JIRA/XRay Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies

Qualifications

• Education: Matric/Grade 12 (required); BSc/BComm degree or 3-year Diploma (advantageous) Experience: Minimum 3 years in software testing Skills: Proficiency in Software Testing Tools (JIRA/X-Ray or similar) Understanding of web services, SOAP, and API testing Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Competence in MS SQL (query writing, reporting) Other: Experience in logistics/distribution or support of production systems, ISEB ISTQB certification in software testing (advantageous), and knowledge of pseudocode and business analysis
