Motus Roodepoort Multifranchise has an opportunity available for an APPRENTICE (AUTOMOTIVE MOTOR MECHANIC/PETROL). This program is designed for individuals keen to train and qualify as a Motor Mechanic, aiming to build a career as a skilled Technician in the motor industry. The selected candidate will assist with vehicle repairs under the supervision of a qualified Technician, fulfill MerSETA requirements, master level tests, and qualify within a maximum of 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled technical/level training courses
• Assist with the repair of vehicles to gain practical experience under the supervision of a Technician
• Prepare for level tests to qualify within the maximum of 4 years
• Maintain tools and equipment cleanliness, and keep the work area tidy
• Follow workplace safety and conduct rules
• Perform other reasonable duties as required

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12, with subjects including Pure Maths and Physical Science (minimum pass mark of 50% per subject is an advantage)
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Mechanical insight and technical aptitude are essential; skills and experience in this area will be advantageous
