Description

The purpose of the Artisan Development Programme is to create future opportunities for aspiring Artisans within the industry. This program aims to support individuals in their journey to become skilled Artisans, with training provided in Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, and Boilermaker trades. Successful candidates will complete a formal trade test at the end of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required apprenticeship training in the assigned trade
  • Participate actively in all on-site tasks and learning activities
  • Prepare for and pass the formal trade test on completion of the apprenticeship
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 with a 50% pass in Mathematics and Physical Science; or Completed N3 Engineering Studies relevant to the trade
  • Clear criminal record
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Certified medically fit
  • Pass client screening and induction
  • Must not have participated in a similar Apprenticeship Programme before
  • Fitter (x1): N3 with Pure Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting and Machining Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing
  • Diesel Mechanic (x3): N3 with Pure Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Diesel Trade Theory
  • Boilermaker (x1): N3 with Pure Mathematics, Engineering Science, Mechanotechnology, Plating and Structural Steel Drawings, Plater’s Trade Theory
