Transnet Freight Rail is offering a two-year graduate development programme for unemployed South African graduates aged 18-35. The program provides institutionalized knowledge and hands-on training, enhancing employability prospects. Successful candidates will develop skills in logistics, transport economics, and other relevant areas, with progress assessed every six months.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a two-year graduate development programme within various functional areas of Transnet Freight Rail (TFR)
  • Receive institutionalised knowledge and on-the-job training to build work experience and increase employability prospects
  • Progress through the programme, with assessments conducted every six months to ensure expectations are met for both the candidate and TFR
  • Be placed in various Depots and Departments within TFR for practical exposure
  • Develop skills and competencies related to logistics, transport economics, and other relevant areas

Qualifications

  • B Degree in Logistics or Transport Economics
  • Experience: No prior work experience is required
  • Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen
  • Minimum NQF Level: NQF Level 6 or above
  • Education: Applicants must be graduates from registered institutions such as Universities, Universities of Technology, or TVET Colleges with a National Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or BTech qualification
