Afrimat is offering an internship for a GIT Data Analyst Intern based in Bellville, Cape Town. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced data analytics tools and techniques, supporting real-world business decision-making. The role includes responsibilities such as data analysis, data visualization, and providing technical support for other teams, while contributing to impactful business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and create visual reports
• Collect and analyze data for operational decision support
• Collaborate with other teams on data-related projects
• Design datasets for advanced analytics and machine learning models
• Provide data-related technical support and guidance
• Assist with project management tasks

Qualifications

• South African Citizen
• BSc/BCom Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, IT, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Business Analytics (or similar/relevant)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (eg Python, R, SQL)
• Proficiency in at least one data visualization tool (eg Power BI, Tableau, or Excel)
• Based in Cape Town or willing to relocate
• Medically fit according to the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Clear criminal record
