Description

The Intermediate Business Analyst will report to the Senior Manager: Business Analysis and is responsible for functional and process analysis, design, and simulation. The role involves conducting mapping sessions with business units to facilitate process enhancements and changes aligned with business strategies. The incumbent will ensure quality improvement interventions, focusing on process re-engineering, business requirements gathering, and creating solutions that align with current and future business environments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Production Support Analyst when required, assisting end-users by identifying and replicating production issues
  • Log and assign incidents to technical teams for resolution and test data fixes to verify expected outcomes
  • Produce functional requirement specifications for business requirements, emphasizing quality, governance, and customer service
  • Apply solution design standards to incorporate customer requirements, process automation, digitization, and artificial intelligence into business solutions
  • Formulate operational service metrics and incorporate reported incidents into business solutions
  • Optimize business workflows through detailed knowledge of planning and process management
  • Adopt business process management standards to improve business processes
  • Focus on outcomes-based deliverables, understanding business architecture, value stream maps, and end-to-end processes
  • Use elicitation methods to document business requirements and translate them into technology platforms or reframe business processes
  • Provide input into budgets for Business Analysis work
  • Communicate effectively and highlight key business challenges with solution-oriented approaches
  • Facilitate sessions pragmatically to ensure clear and concise information gathering
  • Create and sustain networks for best practices in business analysis and value stream mapping

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Degree in Business Analysis (preferred)
  • Proficient in process management and design thinking
  • Understanding of project management and implementing business methodologies
  • Knowledge of business architecture and capability mapping
  • Proven experience with Systems Development Life Cycles, especially Agile methodology
  • Ability to facilitate and document business analysis artifacts and flexible solution designs
  • Exposure to managing business incidents, issues, and priority management
