The role involves assisting the Head/Divisional Manager in obtaining sponsored research assignments from the mining/metallurgical industry, maximizing Mintek’s research contribution to the minerals industry. This includes providing specialist expertise, offering consulting services to clients on specialist research projects, and guiding the planning, coordination, and execution of project work. Motivating the completion of projects within planned timelines and maintaining the validity of experimental results are key responsibilities. Additionally, managing and motivating subordinates, recommending further research projects, and producing required reports, papers, and presentations are part of the role.
