The SABC, a leading voice of entertainment, news, and information to millions of South Africans, is offering an exciting opportunity for graduates to join the Group Internal Audit team through a 12-month internship programme. This internship is designed to equip graduates with real-world exposure and provide support to the IT Audit Department in achieving the organisation’s objectives. Interns will work closely with internal teams and clients to tackle key business challenges and apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan audit scope, objectives, and identify benchmarks
• Assess business and fraud risks
• Compile project audit plans
• Conduct walk-through processes with relevant stakeholders
• Execute tests on policies, procedures, standards, and specifications
• Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
• Develop audit tests to safeguard assets
• Initiate audits based on business requirements and the approved annual audit plan
• Prepare audit reports including findings, risks, and recommendations
• Ensure audit reports are accepted and recommendations are implemented on time
• Communicate audit results to stakeholders
• Submit audit reports for review, issuance, and archiving
• Conduct audits within the stipulated time, scope, and budget
• Use CAATs for continuous monitoring
• Plan and execute data analysis using the ACL tool

Qualifications

• BCom, Auditing, Computer Science, or Information Systems/Informatics (NQF 7)
