The SABC is offering an exciting 12-month internship opportunity within its TV and Outside Broadcast Team under the Technology Division. This programme is designed to give graduates real-world technical experience in the broadcast and production environment. Interns will work with internal and external clients, support broadcast operations, and assist with the implementation of technology-driven projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project implementation, including commissioning and setup
• Support systems through upgrading, configuration, and preventative maintenance
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain broadcast and production equipment
• Participate in technical administration and reporting (eg fault reports, asset tracking)
• Ensure operational compliance with SABC standards and policies
• Engage with customers and internal clients on technical matters
• Support digital system integration and business continuity plans
• Maintain compliance with OHS standards and IT governance policies
• Participate in personal development through performance management and reviews

Qualifications

• 3-year National Diploma (S4/T3) in one of the following (NQF6): Electrical Engineering (Light Current), Communications, Computer Studies, Information Technology
