At the heart of our Management Trainee Programme is a commitment to cultivating authentic leadership. This three-year programme is designed to equip high-potential graduates with the skills, exposure, and experience necessary to build a successful career in the sugar manufacturing industry. From day one, Management Trainees begin their journey in our operational environment — within our sugar manufacturing plants — where they gain critical hands-on experience. They are entrusted with real business projects, giving them the opportunity to take ownership, demonstrate responsibility, and make meaningful contributions from the outset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an intensive onboarding programme focused on understanding plant operations, safety standards, and production processes
  • Rotate across key functions such as operations, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and engineering to gain a broad understanding of the business
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, analyze problems, develop solutions, and present outcomes to management
  • Work closely with experienced mentors and supervisors to track performance and personal growth
  • Engage in structured training programmes designed to build technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within assigned departments
  • Demonstrate initiative and accountability in all assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet operational targets and uphold production excellence
  • Participate in regular performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development planning meetings

Qualifications

  • Completed studies or currently in the final year of study in B-Engineering / BSc-Engineering / BTech Engineering (Chemical)
  • South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Good academic results in your majors in 2nd and 3rd year
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office, including Excel and Word)
  • A valid South African drivers license (Preferred)
