At the heart of our Management Trainee Programme is a commitment to cultivating authentic leadership. This three-year programme is designed to equip high-potential graduates with the skills, exposure, and experience necessary to build a successful career in the sugar manufacturing industry. From day one, Management Trainees begin their journey in our operational environment — within our sugar manufacturing plants — where they gain critical hands-on experience. They are entrusted with real business projects, giving them the opportunity to take ownership, demonstrate responsibility, and make meaningful contributions from the outset.

Responsibilities

Participate in an intensive onboarding programme focused on understanding plant operations, safety standards, and production processes
Rotate across key functions such as operations, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and engineering to gain a broad understanding of the business
Take ownership of assigned projects, analyze problems, develop solutions, and present outcomes to management
Work closely with experienced mentors and supervisors to track performance and personal growth
Engage in structured training programmes designed to build technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within assigned departments
Demonstrate initiative and accountability in all assigned tasks and responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet operational targets and uphold production excellence
Participate in regular performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development planning meetings

Qualifications

Completed studies or currently in the final year of study in B-Engineering / BSc-Engineering / BTech Engineering (Chemical)
South African citizen or permanent resident
Good academic results in your majors in 2nd and 3rd year
Computer Literacy (MS Office, including Excel and Word)
A valid South African drivers license (Preferred)
