Description

As a Commercial Trainee in our CIMA-aligned Management Trainee Programme, you will be immersed in a 4–5 year journey designed to build authentic leadership and develop future commercial and finance professionals. This structured programme provides a solid foundation through real business exposure, project ownership, and continuous professional development aligned with the CIMA qualification. You will gain hands-on experience across key commercial and financial functions—such as business partnering, financial planning, management reporting, cost analysis, and strategic decision support—while working alongside experienced professionals. With a focus on developing business acumen, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, this role prepares you for a future in commercial finance or strategic business roles.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through key commercial areas including financial planning & analysis, costing, procurement, pricing, and business performance
• Support business decision-making by providing financial insights, forecasts, and analysis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting activities
• Contribute to business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability reviews
• Participate in strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Work with senior finance and commercial teams to support business unit performance
• Track progress against personal development plans, with regular feedback and mentoring

Qualifications

• Completed studies or currently in the final year of study in BCom Management Accounting/Accounting/Honours in Management Accounting
• South African citizen or permanent resident
• Good academic results in your majors in 2nd and 3rd year
• Computer Literacy (MS Office, including Excel and Word)
• A valid South African drivers license (Preferred)
