Sage is inviting recent graduates to kickstart their careers through a two-year Graduate Programme as a Graduate Software Engineer. This opportunity offers structured industry training and mentorship within a FTSE 100 listed software company. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of innovative software products, enabling Sage’s business strategies and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems and services
• Participate in learning sessions to build your technical and professional capabilities
• Apply your creativity and skills to solve real-world software challenges
• Document codebases, APIs, and related processes clearly and concisely
• Work within an agile, hybrid team environment (3 days/week in the Johannesburg office)
• Collaborate with global colleagues to deliver impactful solutions

Qualifications

• A completed degree in Computer Science
• Passion for technology, demonstrated through personal projects or academic work
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness and curiosity to continuously learn
• Ability to debug and resolve software issues (preferably in C#)
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
• Good written communication skills for documentation
• Must be able to effectively collaborate in a global team environment
