Description

The Office of the City Manager is seeking a Receptionist within the Governance and Administration Division, specifically in the Office Management and Financial Management Support Section. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing front-line reception services, handling visitors, managing phone calls, and supporting general administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth daily execution of administrative duties
  • Perform typing and clerical tasks
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Distribute correspondence to relevant personnel
  • Arrange visitor parking and boardroom reservations
  • Welcome and manage client visits professionally
  • Make photocopies and retrieve files or information as needed
  • Perform daily routine computer work
  • Answer phone calls on behalf of senior personnel when required
  • Take minutes of meetings upon request

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in administrative support services
  • Computer literacy
  • Must undergo vetting and be willing to submit fingerprints at their own cost
  • A valid Code B driving licence will be an added advantage
