ENS Africa is offering an exciting legal internship opportunity for South African and foreign law graduates. The internship provides an immersive experience into international and comparative business law, supporting ENS’s multi-jurisdictional legal, tax, forensics, and IP services across Africa. Interns will benefit from a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, mentorship, access to ENS’s Infohub, and employee wellness support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal and comparative law research
  • Analyse legal precedents and assess likely legal outcomes
  • Draft country profiles, research notes, presentations, and brochures
  • Assist with training material, proposals, and tenders
  • Translate legal documents between English, French, and Portuguese
  • Maintain knowledge of legal developments and support internal knowledge transfer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (LLB) or Master’s degree (LLM) in Law or equivalent from a reputable law school in an Anglophone, Francophone, or Lusophone jurisdiction
  • Additional academic background in fields such as accounting, tax, economics, commerce, business administration, political science, international relations, or languages is advantageous
  • Prior training in legal specialisms such as public/private international law, international arbitration, tax law, energy law, environmental law, IP/IT law, among others
  • Fluency in at least two of the following: English, French, Portuguese
