Description

A career in Transfer Pricing offers the opportunity to help clients structure their international operations in a tax-compliant and efficient manner. You will engage in planning, documentation, implementation, and dispute resolution across intercompany transactions, including intellectual property, goods, services, and financial arrangements. The programme is aligned with the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) Transfer Pricing Internship. You will gain practical experience across multiple assignments, with exposure to both international and local best practices in transfer pricing and tax.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a range of transfer pricing and tax-related matters
• Prepare detailed transfer pricing opinions and reports
• Conduct research on tax laws and transfer pricing guidelines
• Assist in handling queries and audits from SARS
• Perform benchmarking studies in line with international best practices
• Interpret and apply tax legislation in various scenarios
• Collaborate with global PwC transfer pricing teams
• Participate in project planning and general administration
• Ensure compliance with internal risk management procedures
• Meet client deadlines while delivering high-quality results

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or completed a postgraduate qualification in Tax, Accounting, or Law
• Strong academic track record (minimum 60% aggregate)
• Knowledge of South African tax legislation (Income Tax, VAT, Tax Administration, Customs & Excise Acts is advantageous)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
