As a SHE Officer Graduate, you will assist the SHE team with site inspections, legal compliance, audits, risk assessments, and safety awareness initiatives across operational sites

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the SHE Management System
• Support legal compliance audits, risk assessments, and inspections
• Maintain legal SHE registers and appointments (Sec 16
• 2, 8, 17)
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting
• Assist in performing risk assessments (baseline, issue-based, continuous)
• Monitor corrective/preventive action plans and implementation
• Help coordinate emergency preparedness drills and verify readiness of fire extinguishers, spill kits, and first aid boxes
• Facilitate toolbox talks, training, and safety awareness campaigns
• Keep updated records: SHE files, meeting minutes, training registers, and contractor compliance
• Assist with internal/external reporting and analytics (lagging and leading indicators)
• Support waste management and environmental compliance including separation, disposal, and audit-ready documentation
• Contribute to the review of SHE policies and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• Matric / Senior Certificate
• National Diploma in Safety Management
