This qualification aims to produce skilled software testers who can conduct practical investigations to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of a software product or service under test. It provides both theoretical and practical learning to develop the learner's ability to apply the software testing process, validating and verifying that a software program meets business and technical requirements, works as expected, and can be implemented with the same characteristics. The qualification not only equips learners with knowledge and skills for professional software testing but also contains building blocks for further development in Information Technology and Communications (ITC) qualifications at higher levels on the NQF. The aim is to promote the development of knowledge, skills, and values required in the ITC software testing industry, release potential, stimulate the economy, and provide opportunities for career progression.
