Rand Water invites applications for the Graduate Development Programme – Chemistry (x2). This two-year programme provides Chemistry graduates with hands-on laboratory training, research exposure, and technical development in the fields of analytical chemistry and water quality testing. The programme is designed to equip graduates with practical experience, professional growth, and industry-relevant skills while supporting Rand Water’s mandate of delivering world-class water services.

Responsibilities

• Development and validation of new analytical methods, or enhancement of existing ones, within the field of Analytical Chemistry
• Execution of complex analyses and provide technical and scientific troubleshooting for analytical methods and laboratory instrumentation
• Documentation and checking of results on the identified databases Performance and documentation of all quality control checks of identified analytical test according to the ISO 17025 accreditation system

Qualifications

• Four years qualifications (NQF 8) in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
• Experience in research projects and techniques
