Description

The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites unemployed graduates to apply for a 12-month Graduate Recruitment Scheme Internship under the Corporate Communication and Liaison Component – Internal Communication.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents between English and other languages
• Edit and proofread English documents
• Interpret between Afrikaans and English (both directions)
• Transcribe recorded information in English and other languages
• Assist with developing English and multilingual terminology lists

Qualifications

• South African citizen
• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / NCV L4)
• No previous criminal convictions or pending cases
• Unemployed, never employed in the field of the advertised post, and never participated in an internship in the same field
• Resident of the province where the post is advertised
• A 3-year Diploma or Degree (SAQA-accredited, NQF level 6 or higher) in Communications / Journalism
• English level 3 language proficiency
• Ability to generate creative ideas with sound editorial judgement
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
