Description

A 4-year accredited Competency Based Modular Training (CBMT) Apprenticeship. It combines on-the-job training at a Lindsay Saker VW service department with theoretical classroom instruction provided by the Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA). The program uses a distance learning platform (CDX) and involves computer-based testing and practical competency assessments.

Responsibilities

• Attend theoretical training at MTTA and complete distance learning modules
• Work alongside a qualified technician to learn how to perform quality service maintenance and repairs
• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles while gathering evidence for a portfolio

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science OR an N2 qualification with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English (achieving 50% or more)
• Driver’s license
• Computer literacy
• Must pass a mechanical insight test, background checks, a medical assessment, a psychometric assessment, and an interview
