The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites applications for a twelve (12) month Graduate Internship Programme at the Office of the National Commissioner: Corporate Support, within the Publication and Broadcast Communication Section.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shooting requests from production companies
• Assist with script breakdown
• Liaise with production companies on progress/outcome of requests
• Inform SAPS members assisting with shoots of the shooting schedule
• Keep and maintain a register of requests versus shoots
• Ensure SAPS standards and procedures are followed during shoots
• Monitor TV programmes where SAPS appears in storylines
• Provide administrative support

Qualifications

• South African citizen with a National Senior Certificate (or NCV L4)
• No criminal record or pending cases
• Unemployed, never worked in the field, and not previously in a relevant internship
• Resident of the province where the post is advertised
• May apply for a maximum of three (3) posts (each with a separate application form)
• Three (3) year National Diploma / Degree in Film and Television studies / Film Production / Film and Media Productions: Digital media and Informatics Stream / Film and Media Production – Screen Production/ Motion Art, recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NLRD) on at least a NQF 6 or higher level
