Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Dispensary Support (Fixed Term Contract) to join their retail store in Ballito Lifestyle. The position requires learners to complete a learner basic pharmacist assistant course, which will equip them with the underlying principles of the pharmaceutical environment and dispensing. The staff will be employed in a Fixed Term position until they are registered with the Pharmacy Council (SAPC). The job includes selling Schedule 1 medicines, compounding, unpacking, merchandising, and interpreting scripts. The ideal candidate should have retail FMCG, Dis-Chem front shop experience, and experience in Unisolv, SAP, and E-Scripting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all medications, are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist and signed by a pharmacist
• Assist in the control of stock (manage cleanliness and packing organisation of shelves and medicine expiry dates) of Schedule 1 to schedule 5 medicines or scheduled substances
• Follow up with patients regarding script tracking report as requested by the dispensary manager and follow up appointments
• Assist with call centre scripts and patient service telephone calls
• Provide information to individuals in order to promote health
• Assist with scheme authorization of chronic, HIV and AIDS and oncology medication

Qualifications

• Grade 12
