Description

The Health and Safety Intern will assist the FSG East Rand Health and Safety department with daily administrative tasks, support the development and implementation of safety and health programs, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role provides practical exposure to occupational health, safety management, and employee wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Organisational Development and Employee Wellness initiatives
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and health programs, policies, and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to training, incidents, inspections, and audits
• Assist in investigating accidents, near misses, and incidents, and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate safety and health training programs for employees, including orientation and refresher courses

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be between 18 and 35 years old
• Basic computer literacy
• No criminal record
• Not currently employed or enrolled in other studies or a learnership
